Kirkwood Community College
Here are some facts and figures about this highly successful program:
- The Kirkwood Customer Contact Training Program (CCTP) started in 1998. It is a joint partnership between Kirkwood Community College (Cedar Rapids, IA), the State of Iowa and several industry partners.
- The program provides 280 hours of instruction, focused on professional customer service skills.
- Graduates of the program apply for employment with any or all of the industry partner companies.
- Historically, 65% of the graduates of the program have gained employment with one of the industry partners.
- The CCTP curriculum teaches customer service skills, computer basics, problem solving skills and call center industry information.
- The Kirkwood lab provides a call center simulation environment that allows students to practice taking simulated customer service calls.
